Pumpkin Patch

This year we skipped the Pumpkin Patch in Redlands and hit up Tanaka Farms in Irvine. The kids had fun picking out their pumpkins, looking at all the produce and doing a pumpkin craft. Oh and of course smiling for mom a hundred times so I could take some pictures!

We love Fall!!

Go Speed Racer

My sister-in-law, Courtney gave my brother Scott some laps to drive a NASCAR Sprint Cup race car out at Auto Club (Fontana) Speedway for their first anniversary. (My dad did this a few years back too.) The kids and I ventured out to the Speedway to watch Scott and his race car driving skills this past Sunday. Let's just say he knew what he was doing and had no problem putting the pedal to the metal! Hope you had a great experience Scott!

Scott off to class.
(They make all drivers take a class before they get in the cars.)

Dad, Blake and Travis waiting while Scott is in class.

Nick giving his Dad the thumbs up! :)

Handsome Travis!

He made it back safely after completing 16 laps.

Back to School

Today was the kids first day back at preschool. They started at BUMPS back when they were 18 months-old in a Mommy and Me class and here we are three years later-- in the 4-year-old class and their last year of preschool before they start Kindergarten! *sniff, sniff* This year they go Monday, Wednesday and Friday's and their teacher is Mrs. Perkins.

Both were very excited to get to school this morning and happy to have both mom and dad drop them off! They were excited to see some of their friends from last year and walked into the new classroom like it was no big deal. They are growing up so fast and I can't believe what big kids they have become!

Enough rambling... here are some pictures from this morning. :)

100th Blog Post

This is our 100th blog post! Whoo hoo!! When I decided to start this blog last year, I thought this would be a good way to record and journal about our life. It's amazing how fast time flies because I feel like I just started and can't believe I have really come up with 100 different blog entries! (I guess having kids makes it pretty easy! lol)

At any rate, thanks to all my loyal readers. I hope you enjoy reading and seeing the blog posts as much as I like creating and writing them.

And since no post is complete without a picture, (and there are so few pictures of the hubby and I...) here is one for you all to enjoy! :) Happy blog reading!

Newport Beach

Back in August we spent a week down in Newport Beach. The trip was relaxing and a lot of fun. We definitely have two little fish in our family who love the water and the sand! It was a blast hanging out by the ocean everyday, finding shells, digging holes, making sand castles, climbing on the jetty rocks, hanging out in the life guard towers, playing Frisbee in the dark with a new light-up one, walking along the boardwalk, and both even gave boogie boarding a try! The weather was beautiful and we had great company while we there.

Our 24 Hour RV Trip

One of Steve's baseball teams made it to the 17U World Series earlier this month in New Mexico. In order to cut down on costs since flights were so expensive the team traveled by RV to the week-long tournament. When they got home on a Saturday we didn't have to return the RV until Sunday afternoon, thus, the 24 Hour RV Adventure for the Trombly's began...

We pulled out of the Trombly residence at about 1 p.m. on Saturday...

The kids were very excited...

Steve drove...

...for about 5 miles to our destination.

We hooked up the RV and enjoyed our home away from home for the night...

We went swimming...

We walked to downtown Disney and had dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe...

We walked back and watched the Disneyland fireworks from our RV site...

The kids went to bed exhausted here...

We woke up and pretty much headed straight home to get it cleaned out...

... and then we said good-bye to the RV.

The End!!

It was a fun adventure and we realized that traveling in a RV this size is pretty darn cool. The kids, as you can imagine, had an absolute blast and were sad when we had to take the RV back to Bob's RV Rentals. :( But I swear if you are around the kids and hear them talk like we were on a 5 day trip, we were not-- just one short night.... less than 24 hours! We hope to have another RV adventure soon! :) Wait! Did I really just say that?!?
