Mammoth Getaway

Two weekends ago we headed up to the mountains for some fresh air, snow and fun times with Steve, the kids, my dad and Joanne. It was so nice and we had the most beautiful, gorgeous weather on Friday and then the flurries and snow came mid-day on Saturday through Sunday afternoon. Our drive home Sunday afternoon was also gorgeous. Crystal blue skies and crisp cool air! Amazingly beautiful!

Over the course of the weekend we enjoyed taking a hike and playing on a local playground, sledding, building a snowman (daddy's job), throwing snowballs, eating out, watching movies, putting together a puzzle, walking around the Village and seeing the cute town of Mammoth and taking the bus up to the Main Lodge to checkout the mountain and the Gondola up to Canyon Lodge. Overall, a fun, relaxing three-day getaway.

Thanks to my dad and Joanne for organizing the fun trip (and Gary and Sue for the accommodations-- they were perfect!) :)

Blake sledding.
Me and the kids sledding (I mean posing!) on Friday. Little man was doing one-eyed Blake and not wanting his picture taken at all! lol
The snowman Steve created.

Blake and Steve. The flurries were coming down!
This is what we woke up to on Sunday morning.
Blake giving the Gondola ride thumbs up! :)

We had such a great time with you! Can't wait for our next trip to Mammoth. I think I'll skip the gondola ride next time. Steve & I can wait for you, Katelyn, Blake & Grandpa down at the Village (maybe we'll go to that "happy" restaurant).Ha! Ha! Love you all.
