Picture(s) Friday: Chipper Update

Chipper has been in our family for one whole week. Do I dare admit that he is a good dog and things are going smoothly so far??? Well, it's true. He is a mellow dog, loves his chew toys, is good with the kids, sleeps pretty good at night and is doing well with the potty training thing.

Steve has also held up to his end of the bargain so far and keeps our backyard poop free, gets up with the dog when he needs to be let out, has followed my request that the dog is not to come in the house (at least I think he has!) and pretty much takes care of him.

The kids are still thrilled with him. They love to go outside at 7:30 in the morning to see him and are outside with him until it's dark in the evenings. Katelyn likes to take him for walks and Blake enjoys playing with him, though I think he is having some type of power trip that he is "bigger" than Chipper. He is always trying to pick him up and carry him! I am sure some days Chipper wants to hide from Blake. lol

Chipper is growing on me. I think we have started to bond. In the mornings before I go on my walk or do my exercise video I let him out of his crate. It is actually cute to see him get all excited to see me... or wait... is he only excited because he needs to go to the bathroom? ;)

Happy Friday!

Our Rock Band

One of the thrills of hanging out at Uncle Jason and Janelle's house in Las Vegas??? The rock band set-up! Blake on the drums and Katelyn as lead singer... they have asked about going back to Las Vegas almost every day since we left!

Katelyn singing Shout by The Tears for Fears and Blake on drums. ENJOY!

Thought I'd share some recent baby Nicholas photos. (This is for you Whitney!) He is now two months old and getting big. I think he weighs in the 12 lb. range and is just as cute as can be!

Picture Friday: The Newest Trombly

The newest Trombly arrived yesterday. I knew this day would come. Talk of a "new family member" has been ongoing for about 2 months now. Steve wanted one. He convinced the kids they needed one. I flat out said No! "No how, no way, not now, I am just not ready."

He didn't listen.

Meet Chipper Trombly.
Am I happy that my husband went out and got a dog? Nope
Are the kids thrilled to have a dog? Yes
Is Steve happy to have a dog? Yes
Is he cute? I'll admit that he is pretty darn cute.

But for the record I am not picking up after this dog. There are three other Trombly's in charge of that! Please pray this "transition" from four Trombly's to five goes well!!

Happy Friday!

Proud Mommy Alert!

Last week Katelyn came home from preschool with a piece of paper and she had written her name! I will be honest and say that I don't work on this regularly with her, so I was shocked to see how well she did. I asked her to write it again that night on the magnadoodle and here is what I saw...

Seriously people, she cannot be writing her name already! I need her to stay little! :) The Bubba on the other hand is listening to my orders... he didn't have one thing written on his paper!! He said its too hard and he doesn't want to write! Okay Blake, whatever works for you son! ;)

Picture Friday: Scooby-Doo Visit

Scooby-Doo came to visit Grandma Lori's house when we were in Las Vegas two weekends ago. The kids thought this was funny and knew right away that is was Grandma Lori in there! :)

Happy Friday!!

Hoppy Easter too!

Calling Aunt Jodi. . .

Ha! Did you think I would ever follow through on your request? ;) (In exchange for some baby sitting services back in February, she requested I do a post on my blog about her... no pressure, right?!) So I thought and thought about what I would say and it finally hit me! So without further ado. . .

For those of you that don't know Jodi, she is Steve's youngest aunt. She is passionate about life and all its ups and downs. One cool thing about Aunt Jodi "the Great" (she often signs cards this way!) is her love for her birthday. Now I know people who look forward to their birthday every year. I, for example am one of them because my birth-day is more like a birth-week. (One of the benefits about having divorced parents!) But this girl, REALLY LOVES HER BIRTHDAY.

When I first met her I remember her saying to me, "My birthday is October 2 ( aka "10-2") and don't ever forget it." (Really, she said that!) She is constantly reminding us of "10-2" throughout the year with post-it notes hidden around family members houses, references on signed birthday and holiday cards and even when she signs everyday emails. I think I even recall her setting one of our clocks to 10-2 before we hung it on the wall when we moved.

Seriously people... she is passionate about her birthday! So I thought it only appropriate that on this particular day I dedicate this post to her on my blog. . .

While it's not 10-2 (her actual birthday), or even 2-10 (her backwards birthday), it is in fact 4-2 which would make this her 1/2 BIRTHDAY!!!

So, to our dear Aunt Jodi, the Trombly's would like to wish you a very

HAPPY "1/2" BIRTHDAY!!!!

We hope your day ROCKS!
